Barkly Highway may be cut for three weeks
Queensland Police say the Barkly Highway between Mount Isa and the Northern Territory will be closed for at least three weeks after rain washed away a large section of the road.

Disaster declarations have been made for eight regions in flooded north-west Queensland, as the damage bill tops $12 million.
